Sooooo the other night I tried hit yoga and it was so hard byt amazing! I felt more flexible than usual, i suppose the 100 degree room would do that. And the best part was that it’s a by donation class so you just pay what you can. The worst part was that it was so crowded! The room wasn’t that big and it was packed mat to mat. Also i was worried that I was going to be the only heavier person there but there were like 2 others, most of the people in there were super fit and fabulous looking though. I feel like I definitely benefitted from the experience and I would like to do it again. They hold this particular class every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 pm but it’s all the way in St. Petersburg which is like 45 minutes from where I live which sucks, but if I go after work, I’m already in that area. So I will be going again!
Doing hot yoga tonight! This should be interesting…about half of my team at work is doing it with me tonight. Should be fun.
I know I’ve said this a bunch of times, but I’m really going to try and get back on the wagon…I’ve hit a new high, which is not a good thing. I have a gym membership and I’m going to try and use it at least 4 times per week. I used it twice this past week and it felt great! I think it’s just chronic laziness that keeps me from going. Now that I get netflix on my phone though I think it will motivate me and keep my mind off the burning in my lungs when I’m on the treadmill!I also need to stop eating junk. No more ice cream, no more chocolate, no more burgers. I eat out a lot at work because I never know what my day is going to be like. I could be in court all morning or I could be out doing home visits. But if I do eat out from now on, I will make healthy choices. And if I try to not eat out and just eat healthy snacks throughout the day it could save me money to spend on things I’d rather have than food. Like going to disney world? It costs an arm and a leg but I’d definitely like to go at some point since I do live in Florida! Maybe I’ll be able to afford it next fall or winter when it gets a little cooler out. For now though I do have a membership to busch gardens and sea world! I just want to be fit enough so that I don’t have to worry about someday not even being able to fit into the roller coaster seats. I don’t think I’d ever let myself get to that point, but I’m promising myself this now. I would also like to wear a bathing suit without feeling embarrassed. I just need to stay motivated about this and not give up and make excuses, like, I don’t have the time, I could have spent the two hours I was watching American Idol at the gym. Or I can’t afford to eat better, I could have spent the ten dollars I spent at Sweet Tomatoes at the produce stand and gotten 5 times as much food. I’m too tired, if I think I’ll be tired when I get home from work then do it in the morning. The excuses can go on and on and on, but really, there is no excuse for my physical health being the way it is. I am much more likely to get breast cancer or cervical cancer than most and my unhealthy lifestyle is not helping anything. I need to make a change.
and these are the pedals I want: http://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-Sport-Light-Bicycle-Pedals/dp/B0013G6PLS/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1327186751&sr=8-8
what do you guys think? good choices?
Woot! I’m getting new bicycle grips, gears, and pedals so that I can ride my new/used bike!
So I need some advice from all you runners out there! When you run, do you wear underwear??? Because mine always fall down when I try to run.

Today I went geocaching with the boyfriend. If nobody has heard of it, it’s basically like treasure hunting…with a gps. People like you and me, in the geocaching community, who follow all the guidelines that are layed out, hide different containers full of goodies everywhere in the world. There are lock n lock boxes, ammo boxes, film canisters, bison tubes, and more and they all have little trinkets and prizes in them and a log book (unless it’s a really small container, then it might only have a log book/scroll of paper to log your visit). You log that you’ve been to that cache and you can either trade a treasure or leave it be. There are also trackable items like geocoins and travelbugs that have a theme or have a goal. Like I found a geocoin which is just a metal coin that had a goal of going from Australia to the United States, and it made it! You can either do it the old school way and go onto geocaching.com and print out a sheet telling you the approximate area that the “treasure” is at, or you can just download a geocaching app on your droid or iphone. It’s really fun. Hunting for caches brings you to some really cool spots. Like when I still lived in New Hampshire, one brought us to the top of a small mountain that had a ton of rocks that someone fashioned into chairs, very cool.
And today our geocaching adventure brought us to a grove of orange trees and lemon trees which was so awesome! I don’t know if it is citrus season right now but we picked a few anyway to bring home with us.They looked kind of weird though, check it out.
That’s a lemon. I think. Anyway. Geocaching is a great form of exercise and if you have a boyfriend/partner who isn’t big on exercise but you still want to do fun stuff with them, or if you don’t really have any money to do anything fun, the geocaching would probably be something fun for you do do as a couple or with friends. There’s no need to worry about coming across something that is illegal or anything, the geocaching community has rules that everyone needs to abide by. The rules are about where geocaches are placed, what is put in the caches, etc. You can find all that information on geocaching.com. I remember my first time. It was at the beginning of my senior year of college and it was probably october or november, freezing out! Here is a picture of my first find:
It was a magnetic key holder that was stuck to the bottom of a cannon in the middle of the town square. Because it was a highly populated area we had to go at night hence the headlamp and camo! LOL! If anyone has any questions feel free to send me a message. It may sound kind of stupid and corny but I SWEAR it is the funnest, free activity that you can think of to do if you have a beautiful day ahead of you. I bet that there are caches hidden in some of your favorite places and you don’t even know it yet. BTW geocaching is worldwide, you could probably find them anywhere on the planet.
